Radio Genocide PRESENTS The Devils Oldies Show1 - Mike Y
Hail everyone welcome to the New edition of the Devils Oldies Show. The last one I did was when I was at Radio Satan 666.com. The premise of the Devils oldies is quite simple anything older than ten years. One hit wonders, Jazz Blues Classical metal Progressive rock and on occasion Ill go back to the 18th and 17th century and even earlier Gregorian Chants come to mind… I am also known to break these rules Its my show… This week however I have a lot of Blues Jazz and progressive rock.

Fleischmann's Yeast Hour, July 7, 1932 (abbreviated) - Shiffy 48
This is an abbreviated (streamlined) version of the Fleischmann's Yeast Hour of July 7, 1932. It answers the question: what is worse than disk recordings on uncoated aluminum? The answer: second generation, a.k.a. DUBS! The Hour had not yet developed into a variety program. This was the initial experiment to expand the format. The test was the unlikely coupling of Rudy Vallee with Olsen & Johnson. Ole & Chic's segments were titled "The Padded Cell Of The Air"...

a Fannie Brice guest appearance on The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour, - Shiffy 48
Frustratingly, this is an incomplete excerpt from NBCs Fleischmanns Yeast Hour of January 3, 1933. It was recorded on three sides of two 12” uncoated aluminum disks recorded @ 78.26 rpm. One of the disks was separated from its mate, apparently many years ago, possibly before I existed! Therefore I simply butt edited the two sides during the unmodulated grooves. I transferred these two sides circa 1972 to 15 ips tape...

This is an edited excerpt from January 5, 1933. It contains a guest appearance of George Burns and Gracie Allen on NBC's Fleischmann's Yeast Hour, which starred Rudy Vallee. It is followed by the show's sign off, as aired. Note that there's an edit immediately after Rudy asks Gracie about her brother. This edit compensates for a few lines that were not recorded on the disk. Her brother was a ghost character: talked about, but not heard in their sketches...
